Position Summary

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for managing all sales activities at our dealership. Your role includes engaging with customers, understanding their needs, demonstrating vehicles, negotiating sales terms, and ensuring a smooth delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and conduct a needs analysis based on vehicle type, make, and desired features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operations in the showroom or on a test drive.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment through computer databases.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate final sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fees, discounts, and financing or lease payments.
  • Inspect inventory regularly by walking the lot.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and coordinate vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and provide thorough familiarization.
  • Attend and complete required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with hours based on dealership schedule. Regular attendance is essential.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
  • Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to follow-up before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
