Position Overview

As a Lube Technician at High Desert Ford, you will perform essential vehicle maintenance services including lubrication, oil changes, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections. This role requires commitment to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Primary Duties

  • Perform lube, oil, filter, and multi-point services accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and communicate any additional vehicle maintenance needs to customers and management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles during and after servicing.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and EPA safety standards at all times.
  • Support team members by sharing knowledge to enhance overall service quality.
  • Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior, maintaining a neat and safe work area.
  • Follow all job duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

You will work primarily in a shop setting, exposed to noise, dust, odors, fumes, chemicals, and variable weather conditions. Physical demands include lifting up to 100 pounds and frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity activities.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent recommended but not required.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with company policies.
  • Local state inspection license is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a shop environment exposed to noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and changing weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Must regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching required.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Safe operation of equipment and movement of vehicles during work duties.
